Top 5 Favorite Things About Elsa

The 2024 Ford Mustang GT is more than just a car; it’s an experience—a roaring, attention-grabbing, joy-filled experience. My Grabber Blue beast, lovingly named Elsa, isn’t just about looks (though she has plenty). From modern tech to raw power, here are my top five favorite features that make every drive feel like a scene straight out of a movie. Here they are... in no particular order.

1. The Whipple

If there’s one thing that makes Elsa stand out (and, yeah, I know there are a lot of supercharged Mustangs out there), it’s the twin screw Whipple Supercharger. The boost kicks in like a freight train, propelling Elsa into ludicrous speed before you can say, "I hate it when my Schwartz gets twisted." The insane power delivery makes every throttle push addictively fun, and that supercharger whine? Pure automotive music. Whether it’s from a dig or a roll, this setup makes fast feel effortless.

2. REMOTE REV!!!!!

The remote rev feature on the 2024 Mustang is like having your very own personal concert with zero effort. Remote start... then activate the remote rev. The first time gives the engine a little goose for a short attention grabbing rev of the engine. Do it again right after that and the active exhaust pops to Track mode and drops the hammer several times in succession. Annoying, right? It’s great for impressing the neighbors or just reminding yourself that, yes, you do have a powerful V8 under the hood. Who needs to sit in the seat and wiggle your foot when you can start your car like a boss AND REV the engine from across the parking lot?

3. Digital Cockpit and Infotainment System

The massive 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and combined 13.2-inch touchscreen are futuristic and intuitive. I love how customizable the displays are—whether I want a traditional analog look or a minimalist performance readout. Ford brought in the classic, Fox, and SVT gauges along

with arrangements for the Sport, Track, and Drag modes. Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment system is super responsive and plays well with CarPlay. I love old school, but I love tech, too. Throw up the classic gauges, and I have the best of both worlds. Fun fact: the first three custom setup modes on Elsa pay homage to my first three Mustangs.

4. Active Exhaust System

One button. Four modes. Endless grins. The active exhaust lets me choose between Quiet (or Ninja as I like to call it), Normal, Sport, and Track modes, so I can either keep it neighbor-friendly or unleash the full fury of the S650. I personally keep it in Quiet most of the time. Not to say I don't love the growl of Elsa's supercharged power plant, I just don't need to make a bunch of noise everywhere I go. If you listen close enough, you can hear the difference in all 4 modes. It is subtle between Sport and Track, but it is there.

5. Vertical Lift Doors

Doors that lift... vertically...

Sure, they might not be for everyone, but the vertical lift doors on Elsa add an extra touch of flair and excitement every time I open them. As soon as I saw them on another Mustang (shoutout IG: @her_gt_s550). They make getting in and out feel like stepping in and out of a supercar, and let’s be honest—they’re an instant showstopper. Practical? Maybe not. Cool? Absolutely.

Honorable Mention: The Grabber Blue Metallic Paint

The Grabber Blue finish is bold, bright, and unapologetically Mustang. It’s the kind of color that turns heads at every stoplight and makes people ask, “What is that color called?” Elsa doesn’t blend into the crowd—she demands attention, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I originally decided to make the jump, I almost pulled the trigger on a triple black. When I turned back to take a look at her before signing I noticed that it was a Mustang, but it lacked beautiful Mustang lines and curves. I asked the salesman to show me other colors (NOT RED). I knew the Grabber Blue was it when I turned the corner and saw it. I only hoped it was a GT Premium (a deal breaker for me). And she was!

Final Thoughts

Owning a 2024 Mustang GT Premium, especially one as supercharged and dialed-in as Elsa, is like living out a lifelong dream. She’s powerful, modern, and everything I love about American muscle wrapped in a tech-savvy package. From the supercharger whine to the glowing digital displays, every feature contributes to an unforgettable driving experience.

Whether you’re a Mustang owner, enthusiast, or just dreaming of getting behind the wheel of one, the S650 Mustang GT doesn’t disappoint. For me, these five features define why I’ll never stop loving this car—and why every drive feels special.
